4th Research Management & Administration Workshop — Workshop Highlights

The 4th TWIN-RELECT Research Management & Administration Workshop took place on July 16–17, 2026, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece, immediately following the 2nd TWIN-RELECT Scientific Workshop.

Over two days, researchers, project managers, and administrators from across Europe exchanged knowledge and experience on research management, project development, and innovation funding. The programme featured contributions from institutions including CERN, University of Manchester, IHP – Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics, ESA, and Politecnico di Milano, among others.

Topics covered included:

• Preparation of competitive European research proposals
• Building sustainable research and innovation ecosystems
• Collaboration with major research agencies
• The transition from R&D concepts to market-ready products
• Open-source tools for chip design and microelectronics research
• Funding opportunities and project management practices in European R&D
• Managing large multi-country consortia
